Forming Chaos by Process using Intuition:
From Kandinsky's book, "Point and Line To Plane:"
The Point:
- the "smallest, elementary form;" "= zero." - WK
- "a collision of the tool with the material plane." - WK
- "Qualitatively, it is the ultimate and most singular union of silence and speech."- WK
The Means: I intuitively apply "points" using a Process to form the Chaos. A brush is used with a variety of force (weak - strong), at different speeds (fast - slow), as well as changes in direction (intuitively). Sometimes I use color within various shapes to form the Chaos; shapes found within the Structure while others are placed in what I perceive as the "field." These are formed using two kinds of white paint applied over black or dark blue, using the improvisation of "points" that seem to do things on their own such as:
1. Create "values" (with density/congestion of points).
2. Create "contrasts" (using different values of points against a dark field).
3. Create "movement" (a collection of various points across the Structure).
4. Create "mass" (build-up of different values with points).
5. Create "space" (advancing/receding) via values formed by their changing combinations of points).
6. Create "transitions" (can be gradual or striking contrasts).
7. Create "lines" (a series of points across the Structure).
8. Create "holes" (movement back in space, exposing another level behind).
